NCRLAP 210: An Introduction to Self-Study Focused on the Environment Rating Scales This presentation introduces a self-study process using the Environment Rating Scales as an example. We cover several aspects of self-study such as what it is and why it can be of value. We also discuss some ideas about mindset and approaching a self-study process. Each step of a thorough self-study process is covered, along with some examples and tips.
This webinar is relevant for a wide range of roles including family child care educators, teachers, and administrators. TA specialists, consultants, and others who work with programs will also find this helpful.
Please note that NCRLAP will use the Third Editions of the ECERS, ITERS, and FCCERS beginning February 1st. However, all the information in this webinar is still relevant no matter which scales you are currently using. Four videos will be viewed. After each video, a few questions will need to be completed to ensure that the content was understood and can be applied.
This training is estimated to take approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes.
You can pause during the videos as needed, but do not close the screen or exit the webinar until it is completed, otherwise your progress will not be saved.
We recommend starting the training when you have sufficient time to complete the entire training module since it is designed to be completed all at once.
